The Great Resignation. The Big Quit. No matter what you call it, it’s happening. And definitely in advertising. In this episode we catch up with Sam Arcade and Nicole Lucey, another long-time creative team we admire. For over a decade they’ve made their own rules that break the unwritten rules of being an advertising creative. When they were new moms, they blew our minds by making themselves a hybrid work-from-home situation, which was unheard of at the time. And now, they’ve got their own Big Quit story that’s sure to inspire.
Now that the world has been flipped on its head for 18 months, Deb & Ang discuss the things they miss about their old work life, along with the things they definitely don’t miss at all. From peeing in Penn station to grabbing gummies with Billy Porter - this episode isn’t just about looking back. It’s about looking ahead, because like it or not (we like it!), this new work-from-anywhere world doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.
No matter what you do for work, if you want to be better at it (and happier), D&A believe finding a “work partner” is everything. In this episode, they’ll talk about how a great partnership can save you from so many things —like emails that should never leave your drafts folder. They’ll also get into their unwritten “rules” of partnership that have made their partnership, and their work lives so much stronger.
In a world where so many of us have been working remotely, D&A are taking it to new levels: all the way from Montclair, NJ to Sydney, Australia.
In this episode, they’ll talk about their 14-year history as a creative team, and how it’s prepared them for their new situaiton in this sudden work-from-anywhere world.
